hello. nice to meet you.

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my blog.

I’m Irina. A reader, marketing professional, speaker, volunteer, language and sports enthusiast, a Zumba® Fitness instructor, storyteller and story collector, but most of all a believer in human connections. I truly believe that it’s all about PEOPLE in every aspect of life.

I like to write as a form of sharing. I contemplate, encounter, gather impressions…, and share my perspective on what I experience.

It can be a moving book, compelling films, a journey, a speaking engagement, a series of personal (re)discoveries. Or simply a thought. I like words, especially when their potential is used to build a bridge of understanding or to provide food for thought.

People, art, encounters, and places constantly amaze me. And this is what you can read about in my blog. Expect some (un)expected views. (Un)Asked questions. (Un)Necessary thoughts. (Un)Requested reviews. (Un)cool stories. You will be able to relate to some of them more than to others, but they will all have one thing in common – a true and open representation of my opinion and will thus (hopefully) be a fertile soil for discussions and exchange. So please give them the chance to touch you, and let me know what you think of them or what they make you think and (perhaps even) (re)discover.

Let me start by sharing two personal (un)cool stories which left a lasting impression on me and will spare us a long-winded introduction:

(Un)Coolest story 1: choir singing (4 years old)
I was too shy to sing along so I just opened my mouth in choir rehearsals, but never uttered a sound. Aparently I pretended so well that it took the teachers a few months to figure out that my voice was missing. It was not fun when they found out though… still don´t like choir singing.

(Un)Coolest story 2: theater fever (2 years old)
A theater in Sofia (Bulgaria). Little Red Riding Hood. The Big Bad Wolf appears on stage. My reaction: screaming in an attempt to scare him off. The result of my first theater visit: an endless fascination with theater and acting.

(Un)Cool stories or impressions anyone? 🙂
